Pyramidion of Amenemhat III

The Black Pyramid of Egypt teaches how the Soul connects with God. The Pyramidion of Amenemhat III, the Black pyramid capstone teaches this philosophy through its artwork. Its art shows God, Duality, the Soul, and how numerology and geometry explain this trinity.

  1. God, the number one and the circle are directly connected. The capstone art starts with a circle on top representing the birth of the universe(God, universal first cause, big bang). The circle is also at the bottom and in between there are two hieroglyphs depicting two animals facing each other symbolizing Duality.

    2. Out of One comes Two. The number two in the second dimension is a line in geometry. Duality is first symbolized on the capstone by two snakes coming out the circle and two eagle wings. The snake representing Evil and the eagle representing Good. Below this are two eye brows and two eyes, symbolizing the Duality of humankind. Above the heart(Soul) there’s a trachea with two pipes, the trachea is a line which is the number two in geometry, both pipes(lines) on the top also symbolize this Duality.

3 . In many ancient societies the heart is commonly used to depict the Soul. The Soul can be explained through the number three and the pyramid(triangle). The three hearts are connected to three tracheas pointing upwards showing how this trinity connects us with this Duality and God. These pyramids were meant to teach humankind this trinity, how the Soul connects all the way to God.
